Midwest Electrical Services Ltd was founded in 1988 by current Board Director Steve Lokucewicz as a small electrical business providing maintenance and project services to a selection of local clients within the West Midlands.
Founded in Wolverhampton the Midwest brand started to grow through providing electrical services to pub chains and local authorities. This service started to expand to the wider reaches of the UK and the direct workforce grew to accommodate this additional workload.
In 2002 Paul Lokucewicz joined to organisation and started to lay the foundations to allow the organic growth that has been seen over the past twelve to fifteen years. In the mid-2000s the Midwest customer base expanded which in turn opened delivery opportunities in new industry sectors to include Defence and the NHS. Throughout this period of growth our processes, service level standards and safety systems were honed and perfected to ensure that they were engrained in the DNA of the business.
A move to larger premises in 2013 allowed the business to physically grow towards its current size and structure. In 2015 the Directors recognised the need to provide a wider suite of services following increased demand from our client base and a new mechanical services division was established to compliment the existing electrical offering.
The mechanical facilities and projects division have fuelled the recent growth of the organisation which as of financial year 2019/20 has delivered a revenue line of over £14 million per annum.
In 2019 the organisation went through a management buyout process with four existing employees joining the board to assist with achieving the company’s goals of further sustainable growth while ensuring a high level of service and continuing the family orientated ethos of the business.
Five pillars of success have been identified by the board which will be used to shape future decision making to ensure the ongoing prosperity of the organisation these are quality, safety, communication, customer service and sustainability.
The board hope that by sticking to these key principles will assist in delivering another 30 years of success and beyond.
